We invite submissions to a special issue of Inquiry on Nietzsche’s Moral Psychology, interpreted broadly to include all topics related to the nature and possibility of moral agency, such as the role of conscious and unconscious mental states, as well as reason and emotion, in motivation and action, the sources and nature of moral judgments, and freedom and responsibility. Purely exegetical papers are welcome, as are papers that deploy Nietzschean views with an eye to contemporary debates in moral psychology. Critical consideration of Nietzsche’s views in moral psychology in light of recent philosophical and empirical work will also be considered for this issue. Submissions should not be more than 10,000 words, including notes.
