In 2009 Dr. Stefan Lorenz Sorgner published an article on Nietzsche and transhumanism in the Journal of Evolution and Technology.
The article brought about a massive discussion so that the journal decided to put together special issue in which solely responses to this article were published. It was entitled Nietzsche and the European Posthumanism (Volume 21 Issue 1).
In the most recent issue of the journal Sorgner was given the chance to reply to the responses.
In the article, he also dealt critically with Nietzsche’s position, transhumanism and posthumanism and put forward some of his own views concerning some of the topics he dealt with.
This discussion shows the relevance of Nietzsche’s philosophy for contemporary thinking, and therefore, it might be of some interest to Nietzsche scholars.
