The International Conference Nietzsche and Becoming the Life, November 2-4 2009 at the Diego Portales University in Santiago is an event without precedent in Chile. The conference features 81 papers distributed in 9 plenary and 21 parallel sessions by some of the most recognized Nietzsche specialists coming from over 20 countries.
The papers address the issue of the becoming of life in the philosophy of Nietzsche in relation to biology and psychology, cosmology and corporeality, the relationship between history, culture and nature, the tragic dimension and ethics of his affirmation of life, his doctrine of will power, his vision of Greek wisdom and the philosophical life and finally the relevance of his conception of life for contemporary thought.
